Last Sunday afternoon was so beautiful here in the 757 that we decided to FINALLY get around to planting our spring seedlings. It has been on our list for a while now, but we haven’t really wanted to do it inside and get dirt everywhere. So we ventured out to the screened porch to get to work.
Last year we tried out those little peat-pods, with some success, but we felt like the small size of the pods restricted the growth of our seedlings… and when we tried to plant them outside, they were too weak and we couldn’t use them. So this year we opted for some small planters that can go directly in the ground when they are big enough.
This year we are planting cucumbers, a couple varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, lots of peppers, green beans, basil, thyme, parsley, rosemary and a myriad of bright, cheery flowers for my flower garden.
I was shocked this morning to wake up and see these guys!!
It looks like our mixed greens and lettuce have already sprouted!
What are you planting this year?
